Comedian and actor Kevin Hart deals with an overprotective brother in the new comedy movie "Ride Along" and in real life, he kind of gets that way when it comes to his kids.
The 33-year-old and his wife are parents to a young son and daughter, who are of grade school age. Hart talked to OTRC.com about his children at the premiere of his newest film, "Ride Along," on Thursday, Jan. 13. When asked if he is an overprotective dad, he said: "Of course I am."
"I love my kids. Daughter and son. My daughter, she's gonna get it a little worse than my son 'cause she's a girl," he said, adding, jokingly: "She's not allowed to go out of the house until she's 36."
In "Ride Along," Hart plays a security guard who accompanies his fiancee's brother, a cop, played by Ice Cube , on a 24-hour patrol of Atlanta in order to prove to him that he is worth of his sister.
"He's a true professional," Hart said about Ice Cube. "You're looking at a guy who has launched so many comedians' careers, so I'm lucky to basically be on that train.""Ride Along" is set to hit theaters on Friday, Jan. 17.
