Kate Gosselin appeared on the "Today" show with her 13-year-old twin daughters Cara and Mady when things got a little awkward. Video of the interview can be seen below.
"Today" show host Savannah Guthrie asked the twins questions about their recent interview with People magazine.
Guthrie asked Mady, "What would you want to say about how you and your sister and your family are doing?"
Mady paused for a while before Gosselin snapped at her and said, "Mady, your words. It's your chance. Spit it out."
Guthrie turned the question over to Cara, who just looked at her mother.
"So this is their chance to talk. This is the most wordless I've heard them all morning," Gosselin said. "I don't want to speak for them but, Mady go ahead. Sort of the things that you said in the magazine, that years later they're good, they're fine. Go for it, Mad. it's your chance."
"No, you just said it," Mady said in response to her mother.
Later on in the interview Guthrie asked if people had the wrong impression of their family and Mady said, "I wouldn't say 'wrong.' I would say not, like, the full, like, story. Like, a lot of people think that filming, like, our show has damaged us, but it's only really helped. It's not really done any damage."
Gosselin later added, "They get really frustrated that people assume certain things in our house and they always say, 'But that's not how it is, mommy. Why do they say that about us?'"
Toward the end of the interview the twins agreed that they would like to have another reality show.
"It was really fun and I really miss it," Mady said. "And you do, too, Cara. Cara does, she's just not gonna say it."
Gosselin, her ex-husband Jon Gosselin, Mady, Cara and Kate and Jon's sextuplets starred on the TLC show "Jon & Kate Plus 8, which aired from 2007 to 2009. The couple divorced in 2009 and Kate later had a show with her children called "Kate Plus 8," which ended in 2011.
