Woodland Hills home invasion victims likely targeted

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif.

The robbery occurred on the 21000 block of Wells Drive around 1:50 a.m.

Police say one of the residents was opening the gate to pull into the driveway when he was attacked by one of the two suspects at gunpoint. That's when the suspects rushed the victim into his house and ransacked it.

Officials said children were inside the home at the time of the incident.

The suspects allegedly fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash, jewelry and electronics.

No descriptions of the suspects were released.

"We have no vehicle information. We have no real suspect information, they were wearing hoodies, and their faces were covered, so we have no real good identification on them at this point," said LAPD Lt. Scott Harrelson.

Police were hoping video cameras installed outside the home would help them with a lead.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the crime was urged to contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
