The victim was walking in the 6400 block of Nightingale Street around 9:30 p.m. when he was hit by a vehicle traveling westbound.
The driver of the vehicle failed to yield following the collision and was last seen fleeing into a nearby residential area.
The victim was rushed to Ventura County Medical Center where he is recovering.
