OTRC: Pharrell Williams' hat from Grammys goes viral: 7 favorite memes

Pharrell, wearing a Vivienne Westwood hat, walks the red carpet at the 2014 Grammys on Jan. 26, 2014.

Not only did Pharrell Williams and Daft Punk collect a couple of Grammys for their hit single "Get Lucky," but Williams' big brown hat was a hit on the Internet.

Williams explained to The Hollywood Reporter that the hat is actually by designer Vivienne Westwood and not by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, as a few people joked on Twitter.

Before the end of the night, there was already a Twitter parody account for the hat simply called @Pharrellhat.

"It's a Vivienne Westwood Buffalo hat from when she was with Malcolm McLaren," Williams told THR. "It's not vintage -- I would've been really stylin' if I had one from the '80s."

This was not the first time the music maker has worn the hat. In fact, he tweeted a photo of himself wearing the hat on Jan. 20.

During the night of the Grammys, the now infamous hat drew comparisons to Smokey the Bear's hat and even the sorting hat from the "Harry Potter" book series. Even Arby's got in on the action and tweeted, "Hey @Pharrell, can we have our hat back? #GRAMMYs."

Williams responded on Monday, Jan. 27, "Y'all tryna start a roast beef?"
