Fire officials say 22-year-old Franz Nalezny was speeding on Vista Del Verde when he hit a curb as he approached Cherry Hills Drive.
Authorities said his vehicle hit the curb, flew 30 feet into the air and crashed into a wall on the side of a house.
Nalezny died at the scene.
A mother and her two children, ages 3 and 6, were inside the house, but they were not injured.
Officials say Nalezny was a student at Cal State Fullerton. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
