A former Moreno Valley assistant football coach has been arrested on felony sex crimes.

Manuel Leyva, 19, turned himself in on Friday after authorities began an investigation. Investigators say he solicited one or more juveniles for sex during the 2012-2013 school year when he still worked for the school district.

They say none of the alleged crimes happened on school district property.

Leyva was arrested and booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center for multiple felony sex crimes involving the solicitation of a minor and possessing child pornography. His bail is set at $1 million.

Detectives believe there are more victims. Anyone with information is urged to call the Riverside County Sheriff's Department Moreno Valley Station at (951) 486-6700.
