Kevin Jonas and wife Danielle, his co-star on the E! reality show "Married To Jonas," have welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Alena Rose Jonas.
The couple's child was born on Sunday, Feb. 2. Kevin tweeted early that day: "Here we go we're pushing!!!! #babyjonas."
That afternoon, he retweeted a photo of Danielle and their child that was posted on the official Twitter account of baby laundry detergent brand Dreft. (See the picture above)
"On this day, a little star was born. Meet Alena Rose Jonas," the message said.
"We are overjoyed at the birth of Alena Rose Jonas," the couple said in a statement carried by E! Online. "She is precious! We could not be more excited to start building our family together. We want to thank our family and friends for their love and support, and our fans for all of their well wishes."
Danielle, 26, revealed her pregnancy last July and she and Kevin, 26, told fans during a live chat on Aug. 29 that they were expecting a daughter. The two also posted a sonogram of their baby on Instagram.
"It's a girl!!!!! Thank you everyone!! She's sucking her thumb," Kevin wrote in the caption for his Instagram post, which shows a sonogram of their baby with a little pink bow drawn on.
The couple wed in 2009. Their reality show, "Married to Jonas," premiered in August 2012.
Kevin rose to fame as a member of the pop trio the Jonas Brothers. The group announced in October it had split after more than seven years together.
