Anaheim police searching for 3 armed robbery suspects

ANAHEIM, Calif.

The incident occurred at Clara Barton Park located on the 800 block of South Agate Street around 11:45 p.m.

Investigators say two male victims were sitting in their car when the three suspects drove up and stopped directly behind them.

That's when police say two men exited the car, walked up to the victims, brandished a 6-inch bladed knife and ordered the men out of the car. The third suspect, identified as the female driver, stayed in the car with the engine running.

The two men searched the victims but found nothing of value. They then searched the car and found a school backpack containing 1,000 Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. The suspects took the backpack and fled the scene.

During the later investigation, police learned the three suspects entered a card shop in Anaheim on Jan. 27 and sold the cards. The cards have since been recovered, but police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspects.

The first suspect was described as a Hispanic male, between 20 and 25 years old, with a large build, standing around 6 feet, and weighing between 220 and 250 pounds. He was last seen wearing black prescription glasses.

The second suspect was described as a Hispanic male with black hair, between 20 and 25 years old, standing around 5 feet 10 inches and weighing between 150 and 165 pounds.

The third suspect was described as a Hispanic female with bright red hair, between 20 and 25 years old, standing between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 7 inches, and weighing between 120 and 140 pounds.

The car used during the robbery was described as a green four-door Honda Sedan.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information was urged to contact OC Crime Stoppers at (855) TIP-OCCS.
