Sea lion recuperating from great white shark attack

LAGUNA BEACH, Calif.

The male sea lion, nicknamed "Bruce," is being nursed back to health at the Pacific Marine Mammal Center in Laguna Beach.

Bruce was brought there weeks ago after Good Samaritans found him stranded on rocks at Emerald Bay Beach Friday, suffering from bite wounds and badly malnourished. He was bitten under his right flipper and his left chest area. Wildlife experts say the bites were consistent with a great white shark.

Bruce is feeling better every day and will eventually return to the sea.
