Rancho Park homeowner scares off burglars

RANCHO PARK, LOS ANGELES

Authorities responded to the 3000 block of Blythe Avenue at about 3 a.m. Thursday. In the first incident, the suspects broke into a garage and stole unknown items, and then they attempted to break into the house as well but were unable to get in.

The suspects then tried to break into another house on the same street, police said. This time, they tried to enter from the backyard.

The female homeowner came out and discharged a weapon to the ground, scaring the suspects away.

The suspects were last seen driving southbound on Blythe Avenue in a white four-door sedan. A suspect description was not immediately available.

Anyone with information is urged to call LAPD West L.A. Station at (310) 444-0701.
