Stow was beaten in a parking lot after the 2011 opening day game between the Giants and Dodgers in Los Angeles. Stow was permanently disabled
Stow's family sued former Dodgers owner Frank McCourt and three entities that McCourt created, citing insufficient security at the ballpark. Friday a judge set the trial date for May 27.
The assault sparked outrage and brought stadium security changes around the state and country.
Meanwhile, Eyewitness News has learned that the criminal trial against the two men accused of beating Stow will begin next month. Suspects Louie Sanchez and Marvin Norwood have pleaded not guilty to assault and other charges.
