The accident involving a Gardena Municipal bus was reported at El Segundo Boulevard and Western Avenue at 6:41 a.m. Police say the northbound bus was struck by a westbound pickup truck.
Eight people were taken to area hospitals for minor injuries, according to an L.A. County Fire official.
The cause of the accident is under investigation. The truck may have run a red light, according to Gardena police Lt. Steve Prendergast.
