UCLA student punched, robbed of his shoes

Authorities are searching for two suspects who punched a UCLA student Saturday and fled the scene with his shoes, according to UCLA police.

The incident occurred near Ophir Drive and Midvale Avenue around 1 a.m.

Investigators say the victim was walking when two suspects approached him, punched him multiple times, and removed his shoes.

The suspects then fled eastbound on Ophir Drive towards Glenrock Avenue.

The victim suffered minor injuries to his head and face.

The first suspect was described as a black male, between 18 and 20 years old, standing around 5 feet 10 inches, and weighing between 175 and 185 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white beanie, gray-hooded sweater and jeans.

The second suspect was described as a black male, between 18 and 20 years old, standing around 6 feet with dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing black high-top athletic shoes.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this incident was urged to contact the UCLA Police Department at (310) 825-1491.
