Sharon Stone proves age is nothing but a number on the March 2014 cover of Shape magazine.

The 55-year-old actress poses in a sexy yellow bikini on the cover of the magazine, covered only by a fishnet-style top. In an interview in the magazine, on newsstands Feb. 24, Stone talks about not being obsessed with looking younger, but rather looking the best she can be at her age.

"This idea that being youthful is the only thing that's beautiful or attractive simply isn't true," Stone said to Shape. "I don't want to be an 'ageless beauty.' I want to be a woman who is the best I can be at my age. We've got 400,000 girls with beachy blonde hair, the same nose, gigantic lips, implants in their teeth and little Chicklets for teeth. Are they really prettier?"

Stone, a mother of three boys, also mentions that she did not always have the confidence she has about her body that she does today. Despite rising to fame in sexy roles in films such as "Basic Instinct" and "Casino," the actress said she reached a point more than a decade ago where she needed to come to terms with her looks.

"There was a point in my 40s when I went into the bathroom with a bottle of wine, locked the door and said, 'I'm not coming out until I can totally accept the way that I look right now,'" she said. "I'm not trying to make myself look like a girl because I'm not a girl anymore. I'm very happy about being a grown woman. I think there's a lot of sexuality and glamour and allure and mystery to being a woman that you just don't have when you're young."

The actress also shared her exercise tips, saying in order to achieve the results she wants, she doesn't stick to the same routine for every workout.

"Every time I exercise, I do something different based on which areas need to get in motion," she said. "Sometimes I do a series of standing leg lifts and circles in the tub, using the water as resistance."
