He also received nominations for his starring roles in the 2002 film "Gangs of New York" and the 1993 movie "In the Name of the Father"

Waltz is no stranger to the Oscars. The 57-year-old took home an Oscar last year for his supporting performance in "Django Unchained." He also won in 2009 for his supporting role in "Inglourious Basterds."

Oscars producers announced earlier that Jennifer Lawrence would present at the awards show as well. Lawrence is up for an Oscar for her supporting role in "American Hustle." Last year, she won for her leading role in "Silver Linings Playbook."

The 2014 Oscars will take place on March 2 at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Los Angeles and will air live on ABC7. Ellen DeGeneres will host for the second time.
