Balloons filled the sky of Littlerock on Saturday as the community gathered in honor of a teen who has been missing for nine months.

Ashley Lewin, 16, disappeared from her family home last May. Her parents say she had a strange reaction to a seizure medication, which may have contributed to her behavior.

Still, her mother says her disappearance is a complete mystery.

"I don't know what happened to her. I can't imagine her throwing away her whole life and her huge family that absolutely adores her," said Lewin's mother, Betina Martin. "We're so scared. I can't sleep, I can't eat, it's been almost nine months and I just want to see my baby girl again."

Anyone who thinks they have seen Lewin or has any information on her whereabouts is urged to call the Palmdale Sheriff's Station at (661) 272-2400.
