OTRC: Robin Thicke speaks out after Paula Patton split, canceled tour dates

Robin Thicke is breaking his silence after a rough week.

The singer took to his website to thank his fans for their support, following the news of his reported split from wife of more than 8 years, Paula Patton, and the cancelation of three consecutive concert dates, for which he citing vocal trouble, according to E! News.

"I want to thank everyone for the well wishes these last few days," Thicke wrote on his official website. "My fans mean everything to me. I'm looking forward to getting back on the road and performing in Washington D.C. this Thursday, and the rest of the tour. Looking forward to seeing everyone out there!"

Thicke was originally scheduled to begin a nationwide tour, to promote his 2013 album "Blurred Lines," on Friday, Feb. 21 in Atlanta, with another show in Orlando, Florida on Feb. 22 and North Carolina on Feb. 24. News of Thicke's split from Patton also broke on Feb. 24.

"We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time," Patton said in a statement to People magazine.

Thicke, 36, and Patton, 38, were married for more than eight years prior to their separation. The two met in 1993 while they were in high school. They wed in 2005 and have a son, Julian Fuego Thicke, who turns 4 in April.

The couple were last seen publicly together at the 2014 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles (see above photo).
