Daphne Oz of 'The Chew' gives birth to baby girl

NEW YORK

The 28-year-old gave birth in New York City on Wednesday night, Oz's representative said. The girl, whose name has yet to be revealed, weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.

"Mom and baby are doing very well," Oz's husband, John Jovanovic, told ABC News. "We feel so blessed." It is the couple's first child.

New grandfather Dr. Mehmet Oz chimed in via Twitter saying, "My daughter @DaphneOz delivered her first child! I'm holding my beautiful granddaughter now. Thank you all for the well-wishes & prayers!"

Daphne Oz first shared the news of her pregnancy in September, when she showed off sonogram photos on "The Chew," to the surprise of her fellow co-hosts Mario Batali, Michael Symon, Carla Hall and Clinton Kelly.
