Oxnard hit-and-run suspect sought; victim in critical condition

OXNARD, Calif.

Adalberto Deloa was struck by a light-colored truck at the intersection of Channel Island Boulevard and Circle Drive around 6:15 p.m.

The initial impact caused Deloa to be thrown several feet and land in the roadway. That's when, witnesses say, a light-colored sedan also struck Deloa.

Both vehicles fled the scene of the collision.

Deloa was transported to the Ventura County Medical Center where he underwent emergency surgery for his injuries.

Two weeks later, the victim remains in critical condition.

On Thursday, Oxnard police canvassed the neighborhood near the incident in hopes of collecting clues leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects responsible.

Anyone with information regarding this hit-and-run was urged to contact Senior Officer Pena or Officer Perez at (805) 385-7750.
