Edward Lopez, 55, pleaded no contest to one count of kidnapping and two counts of forcible oral copulation of a child under 14.
Lopez took the child on Nov. 16, 2013, from a baby shower at a home in the 3200 block of Malabar Street in Boyle Heights. The family realized the girl was missing and called police around 11 p.m.
The girl was found with Lopez, who was nude from the waist down, locked in a shed behind a nearby residence around 2 a.m. Lopez was taken into custody and the 3-year-old victim was returned to her family after being examined at a hospital, police said.
