'Flasher' suspect sought for exposing self in Orange County

BREA, Calif.

Surveillance video shows the suspect walking inside a Macy's store at the Brea Mall around 2:30 p.m. Monday for about 30 minutes. Then he suddenly pulls down his pants, fully exposing himself to a woman.

"He made very lewd comments to her about things he wanted her to do to him," said Brea Police Lt. Darrin Devereux.

Police suspect the man has done this repeatedly: a week ago at The Shops at Mission Viejo and inside a store at the Irvine Spectrum on Tuesday.

Irvine Police and the Orange County Sheriff's Department say they're working with Brea detectives to see if they're dealing with the same guy.

Police are concerned the suspect may become even more brazen.

"That's our fear, that he's going to do something more bold or brazen, maybe actually physically grab somebody," said Devereux.

Detectives describe the suspect as a white male, about 30 to 40 years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing about 175 pounds. He has a short buzz haircut and wears a thick band or necklace. He has tattoos on at least one forearm, and appears to be tanned or sunburned.

"If people see him, we'd like to know if they know his name, but more importantly, call the police, call 911 if they see him anywhere," said Devereux.

If you have information related to the case, call the Brea Police Department at (714) 990-7748.
