The pursuit began shortly before 1 a.m. when an officer tried to stop a BMW that was reported stolen.
Instead of pulling over, the driver took off. A short time later, he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into another car at the intersection of Flower Street and West Adams Boulevard. The force of the crash caused the second vehicle to roll over.
Officers used an extinguisher to stop the car from catching fire.
The three victims in the second car were pulled to safety and were taken to the hospital along with the two suspects in the BMW.
Their conditions of those involved were not immediately known.
