L'Wren Scott, a model-turned-fashion designer and girlfriend of legendary Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger, was found dead on Monday, March 17, of an apparent suicide, a report says.
Police discovered her body in her apartment in New York City in the morning, ABC News reported. Her spokespeople have not commented. A medical examiner has yet to determine the official cause of her death. She was 49 (although previous reports said she was 47).
Scott and Jagger have been together since 2001. A spokesperson for the singer told ABC News Jagger is completely shocked and devastated by the news of Scott's death.
Her designs have been worn by actresses such as Angelina Jolie (see the actress wearing a L'Wren Scott dress at the premiere of partner Brad Pitt's film "The Assassination of Jesse James" in 2007), Amy Adams, Christina Hendricks of "Mad Men" and Nicole Kidman. In February, Scott canceled her London Fashion Week show due to what her rep said were production delays.
