What have "The Bachelor" star Juan Pablo Galavis and winner Nikki Ferrell been up to since the controversial season 18 finale?
Going to a friend's wedding, posing for kissing photos and meeting with other reality stars. This week, in Miami, where Galavis lives, the two had lunch with Jim and Elizabeth Carroll, marriage counselors and hosts of the WE tv show "Marriage Boot Camp." The four were photographed dining at Rusty Pelican Miami on Tuesday. (see above
There are no officials plans to feature Galavis and Ferrell on "Marriage Boot Camp," whose season season began airing earlier this month. A source close to the matter told OTRC.com that WE tv would be open to having them take part in a future season. During the couple's lunch with the Carrolls, they did speak about their relationship. (Check out OTRC.com's INTERVIEW with Jim and Elizabeth Carroll, who call Juan Pablo Galavis "one of the smartest" Bachelors -- find out why.)
" Lunch with @JuanPaGalavis @Nikki_Ferrell @JimMBC LOVELY COUPLE," Elizabeth tweeted a day after their meeting. "Terrible to be misunderstood criticized publicly."
Galavis, a 32-year-old American former pro soccer player who grew up in Venezuela and has a daughter, famously did not propose to Ferrell, a 26-year-old pediatric nurse from Kansas City, Missouri, on the finale of "The Bachelor," which aired on March 9, breaking away from the show's longstanding tradition.
He also did not tell her "I love you" on an after show, despite coaxing from host Chris Harrison. He said his and Ferrell's relationship was now private. (Read a RECAP of "The Bachelor" finale.)
Elizabeth also penned a blog post on her and her husband's "Marriage Boot Camp" website about their lunch with Galavis and Ferrell, saying the two are "sweet, authentic, big-hearted people" but are "also not without flaws."
" Every one of us would show our less-than-attractive side if we had cameras following us around 24/7, for weeks on end, trust me, I know from experience," she wrote.
"It is our humble opinion that there is sufficient maturity, openness, and willingness to grow to make this a powerful, and healthy relationship," she added. "Add to this a growing faith in God, and you have all of the ingredients necessary for a happy, long-lasting relationship. I pray that Juan Pablo and Nikki use their celebrity to advance their gifts and impact others for good."
What else have Juan Pablo Galavis and Nikki Ferrell been up to?
On Wednesday, Galavis and Ferrell hung out with another reality star -- Adriana De Moura of "Real Housewives of Miami." (See PHOTOS of the "Bachelor" couple with the "Marriage Boot Camp" stars and Adriana De Moura -- who took a selfie with them).
Last weekend, the "Bachelor" couple attended a wedding of a friend in the Dominican Republic. Ferrell shared photos on her Instagram page (see it below).
"Bachelorette" couple to appear on "Marriage Boot Camp"
Season 2 of "Marriage Boot Camp," which features former stars of the WE tv show "Bridezillas," began airing on March 7. As seen in an In Touch magazine photo, "Bachelorette" season 1 star Trista Sutter and winner and husband Ryan Sutter, who have two children, are set to appear on the next season of "Marriage Boot Camp," which premieres this summer.
"We want to show people that how long you've been married, no matter how happy you are -- because Ryan and I are the happiest we've ever been, truly -- you have to work on your marriage," she told "Access Hollywood" in December," adding: "There's nothing wrong -- we just want to be better."
"Marriage Boot Camp" airs on WE tv on Fridays at 9 p.m. ET.
