Woman waiting at Glendale crosswalk stabbed by transient

A woman waiting at a crosswalk with her teenage daughter was stabbed Thursday in Glendale by a transient man, Glendale police said.

The woman was waiting to cross the street with her 17-year-old daughter at about 10:30 a.m. at San Fernando Road and Pacific Avenue when the transient man attacked her.

Upon arrival, officers found the woman with a stab wound to the upper body. She was taken to an area hospital for treatment on the non-life threatening wound.

Officers detained the transient man two blocks away. The motive for the stabbing has not been determined.
