Congrats to Andrea Bocelli -- he recently married his longtime partner Veronica Berti in Italy.
The 55-year-old famed Italian tenor wed Berti, 30, at the Sanctuary of Montenero on Friday, March 21. The two, who have been together for 12 years, said in a statement released on Monday that they chose the day because it is the start of spring and also the second birthday of their daughter and only child together, Virginia, according to the Associated Press.
Bocelli has two sons, Amos and Matteo, from a previous marriage. They attended their father's wedding, as did other family members and friends of the couple. Berti wore a silk Ermanno Scervino sheath dress, which she covered with a quilted jacket, while Bocelli wore a blue Corneliani suit. The bride also carried a bouquet of white roses.
Bocelli has released classical and pop albums over the years and scored international hits such as "Time to Say Goodbye," a 1996 duet with "Phantom of the Opera" star Sarah Brightman," and "The Prayer," a 1999 duet with Celine Dion featured on the soundtrack of the animated film "Quest for Camelot."
