South Los Angeles shooting: Car riddled with bullets; suspect sought

SOUTH LOS ANGELES

The woman was behind the wheel when her car was riddled with bullets just before 12:40 p.m. Tuesday at 52nd Street and Figueroa Avenue.

The victim drove to a nearby Rite Aid store and called police. Looking at the bullet holes in the car, it's amazing that the woman was not struck by gunfire. Police say she did suffer some sort of leg injury and was taken to the hospital.

The LAPD is investigating the shooting. No suspect description has been released.
