Johnny Depp confirmed his engagement to actress Amber Heard, after weeks of staying mum about the news.
While promoting his new film "Transcendence" in Beijing, Depp, 50, was asked whether or not he was engaged to Heard, 27, and told the Associated Press that in fact was, citing the "chick's ring" he was wearing as major indicator.
"That fact that I'm wearing a chick's ring on my finger is probably a dead giveaway," Depp said. "Not very subtle." Depp then showed off his left hand that showcased a band with a single diamond on his ring finger (see photo above).
News of Depp and Heard's engagement first broke in January 2014. The two later attended the "3 Days to Kill" premiere in February, where Heard was seen rocking a large ring on her left hand. At the time, the two had not confirmed the reports of their engagement.
The two actors met in 2009 on the set of the film "The Rum Diary." Depp split with his longtime girlfriend, French model Vanessa Paradis, in 2012 after 14 years and two children together.
When asked about wedding plans, Depp made a humorous remark about not being qualified for such a task.
"I think that I would be better at making women's shows than I would be at wedding planning, I can't plan anything. I'm really bad at that stuff," Depp said.
