Awww ... here's some heart-warming news for fans of Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr.
The 37-year-old "Lord of the Rings" and "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor brought his 3-year-old son, Flynn, to the unveiling of his new star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday, April 2. During his speech, he gave a special thanks to his estranged wife.
After thanking the likes of director Peter Jackson, his manager, publicist, agents and family members, he thanked "Miranda, for giving me the greatest gift of all -- my son."
"You know, I love you all and thank you for everything," he said.
Bloom and the Victoria's Secret supermodel wed in 2010 and announced in October 2013 that they had split earlier that year. In March, at Vanity Fair's post-Oscars 2014 party, Bloom surprised Kerr at the entrance and embraced his ex during her interview with OTRC.com (watch VIDEO).
Orlando Bloom's son to become an actor?
After making his speech and posing on his newly-unveiled Hollywood star, Bloom spoke to OTRC.com about his son and his own acting career prospects.
"I'm really never gonna push him in any direction," he said. "I really want him just to find his own thing in life and whatever that may be, I won't stand in the way, if that's what he wanted but I'd never push him into it."
Later, Bloom hugged actor Forest Whitaker, his co-star in the movie "Zulu," who also spoke at the ceremony. Check out videos of the embrace, Bloom's speech, the unveiling of his star and his interview with OTRC.com, above.
