Rapper 2 Chainz has been charged with felony drug possession and could face prison time if convicted.
Police had arrested the 37-year-old, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, back in June 2013 at the airport for possessing a bottle of promethazine with codeine. He has not commented about the incident or the charge.
If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of three years in prison. The rapper is due to be arraigned on April 8, according to court records obtained by OTRC.com.
Codeine is considered a narcotic and is often used in "Sizzurp," a dangerous cocktail typically containing cough syrup and juice, soda or candy.
