The case is based on allegations that Brown and his bodyguard assaulted a man who was trying to get into a picture with the singer outside a hotelin October.
Brown was turned over to U.S. Marshals at the Los Angeles County Jail Wednesday where he was being held after violating the rules at an anger management program.
Brown is scheduled to appear at a hearing in D.C. on Monday.
Trial in the assault case is scheduled for April 17. Then he's expected to be back in Los Angeles a few days later for a hearing on the probation violation.
