If you were ever curious as to what Jon Hamm of "Mad Men" fame thought was a good first date in the 1990s, you can find out now.
A clip of a 25-year-old Hamm can be seen in recently released footage from a dating show called "The Big Date." Hamm appeared on the show, which aired in 1996, as a contestant and was introduced as a waiter. Video of the now 43-year-old actor's appearance can be seen below.
When asked how he would make the female contestant -- who revealed she loves a good foot massage -- feel special on a first date, he replied, "Start off with some fabulous food, a little fabulous conversation, end it with a fabulous foot massage for an evening of total fabulosity."
Though now known for playing the suave advertising executive and ladies man Don Draper, Hamm didn't have much luck with the female contestant on the dating show. She ended up picking a stuntman over Hamm because the contestant was the only one to shake her hand during their introduction.
The show was also hosted by Mark L. Walberg, who now serves as the host of "Antiques Roadshow."
Now Hamm, who won a Golden Globe for his performance on "Mad Men" in 2008, is gearing up for the season 7 premiere of "Mad Men." The cast of the show recently appeared at the season premiere in Hollywood looking sharp. The first half of "Mad Men" season 7 debuts on April 13 at 10 p.m. ET on AMC.
