Nick Carter is now a married man.
The 34-year-old Backstreet Boys singer tied the knot with fiancee Lauren Kitt on Saturday, April 12, in Santa Barbara, according to People magazine. The two married in front of 100 guests at the Bacara Resort and exchanged handwritten vows.
Carter wore a custom tuxedo by Anthony Franco Designs, according to the magazine, and Kitt, a fitness expert and actress, wore a strapless gown. His fellow Backstreet Boys band mates Howie Dorough, AJ McLean and Brian Littrell were also in attendance.
"Happiest day of my life 4-12-2014 I married my best friend and woman of my dreams," Carter tweeted on Sunday, April 13. "Lauren Kitt Carter honeymoon time!"
Carter announced his engagement in February 2013. He popped the question on a small island in the Florida Keys.
The singer's 26-year-old brother, Aaron Carter, was not able to attend the ceremony, People reports. Aaron had a previous commitment to perform at the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade in Washington D.C. before Nick announced his wedding date.
Aaron was set to perform and board a plane after so that he could at least make the reception, however, his plane was grounded as a result of mechanical problems and he was not able to attend.
"Tickets were purchased and the plan was in place. It was a major operation to get him there in time," Aaron's spokesperson told People. "Aaron didn't blow anything off and would have been there ? it's a real bummer for him. He feels bad he missed the wedding."
