Congrats to Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg -- they are engaged!
The 41-year-old announced the news on Wednesday, April 16, on the ABC show "The View," where she serves as a co-host. She also showed off her yellow sapphire engagement ring on the series and in a private photo shoot at a nail salon (check out the photos here). McCarthy and Donnie, a 44-year-old star of CBS' "Blue Bloods," brother of Mark Wahlberg and member of pop group New Kids on the Block, began dating last year.
"I just got engaged!" an emotional McCarthy said on "The View," adding that her son Evan helped Wahlberg propose.
She then got hugs from co-hosts Sherri Shepherd and Barbara Walters.
Donnie, who later appeared with his fiancee on "The View," later tweeted: " #Happy."
This will mark the second marriage for both McCarthy, who was previously married to Evan's father John Asher, star of the 1990s TV show "Weird Science," for about seven years, and for Donnie, who was married for almost 10 years to Kimberly Fey. They have two sons together.
