Victim found on 605 Freeway dies of injuries

INDUSTRY, Calif.

California Highway Patrol started receiving calls about the victim on the northbound 605 connector to the westbound 60 Freeway at 1:49 p.m. Tuesday. The man's hands and feet were partially tied, and he had severe burns over his entire body, including his face and head.

Detectives believe the man was beaten, and then lit on fire. They also believe the victim was in a wash under the freeway, but he managed to crawl up an embankment, a horse trail and through a tunnel to the side of the northbound freeway.

So far, there are no suspects and no word on the victim's identity.
