LOS ANGELES --
The U.S. National Park Service is offering free admission to all national parks this weekend in celebration of National Park Week from Saturday, April 19 until Sunday, April 27.
All of the nearly 400 parks, preserves, monuments, recreation areas and historic sites in the system will be free of charge this weekend. Special events will be held nationwide through Sunday, April 27.
Every U.S. state except Delaware has at least one national park. There are as many as 25 of these sites available throughout California.
National Junior Ranger Day is Saturday, April 26. Young visitors will be sworn in as junior rangers. This year's theme is "Go Wild."
Vistors are invited to "Go Wild" for history, nature, culture, wildlife and fun in America's national parks.
