Stranded dog rescued near Granada Hills park

GRANADA HILLS, Calif.

The man, who was not identified, says he spotted the dog stuck on the hill while walking near the area Saturday.

Since Los Angeles Animal Services was closed, the man says he returned Sunday with a camera attached to a little drone. The man sent the camera up and successfully located the dog.

He then called Animal Services and showed rescuers where the dog was stuck. They responded and climbed up the steep and rugged terrain. The dog was placed in a harness and then brought to safety.

Whether the dog has an ID tag or a microchip remains unknown. It's still not clear how the dog got stuck on the hill in the first place.
