Oxnard pizza store robber gets away with cash

OXNARD, Calif.

Oxnard police officers responded to a report of a robbery on the 3600 block of Saviers Road at about 8:40 p.m. Monday.

Employees there told officers a man in his 40s wearing a ski mask and dark clothing entered the restaurant with a handgun and demanded money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money from the register and fled the scene.

A witness told officers that someone who may have been the suspect had jumped over the fence to the Blackstock School at 701 E. Bard Road.

Officers and a K-9 police dog searched the area, but did not locate the suspect. The suspect remained at large on Tuesday.

No one was injured in the robbery.
