Ellen DeGeneres is ready to give furniture designers a major reason to do a happy dance.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the talk show host will launch a new competition series titled "Ellen's Design Challenge" for the cable network HGTV in 2015. The six-episode series will follow competitors in challenges such as sketching, designing and building furniture, with the winner taking home a cash prize.
"I'm so excited about this show because I love finding really special pieces of furniture," she said to the outlet. "One time I found a beautiful one-of-a-kind armoire that spoke to me in a way I'd never experienced. It turned out there was a drifter living inside of it, but that's a story for another time."
It has not been announced if DeGeneres, who has had a longtime love for home and interior design, will serve as a host or judge on the series. Contestants, however, will have to present their designs to a panel of judges in order to advance in the competition.
The series will be produced by DeGeneres' production company, A Very Good Production, and will mark its first foray into cable TV. The production company currently produces her syndicated daily hit daytime talk show, currently in its 11th season.
