Prince William and his wife Kate, also known as Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, posed for photos while visiting Uluru, aka Ayers Rock, in Australia on Tuesday and the images looked eerily familiar.
The photos of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who are currently visiting Australia and New Zealand as part of a three-week tour, posing at the famous landmark evokes memories of when William's parents, Prince Charles and Diana, posed for photos at the same place back in 1983.
In one picture, which can be seen above and in full below, Charles appears with Diana at Uluru at sunset on March 21, 1983. The visit was part of their royal tour and William, who doesn't appear in the photo, was exactly nine months old at the time.
William's son, Prince George, is currently nine months old. The couple's young son has been with his parents for much of their tour, but did not accompany William and Kate during their visit to Uluru on Tuesday, April 22. Check out PHOTOS from their visit here.
William and Kate also visited the small town of Yulara, which is close to Uluru, according to The Associated Press. Upon their arrival, they received a traditional Aboriginal welcome with members of the local Aboriginal community performing a traditional song and dance for the couple. The two also received gifts from the locals, including a wooden spear and a bracelet.
