Claremont sexual predator charged with felonies

CLAREMONT, Calif.

Joseph Davall, 34, of Yucca Valley, was charged Tuesday with two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, one count each of forcible rape, sexual penetration by a foreign object, assault to commit a felony during a first-degree burglary, first-degree burglary with a person present and making criminal threats, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

DNA evidence linked Davall to the crime last week. He was arrested April 18.

Claremont Police did not release a booking photo of Davall because he may be wanted for similar crimes in other parts of Southern California. A composite image of the suspect was created after the sexual assault was reported in March.

If convicted, he will face a maximum sentence of life in state prison without possibility of parole.
