Culver City attempted-abduction suspect sought

CULVER CITY, Calif.

A female juvenile walking near Farragut Drive east of Overland Avenue in Culver City was approached by a man driving a green four-door car at 2:50 p.m. on April 22.

The driver asked the girl her name, then opened the passenger door and told her to get in the car. The girl fled and reported the incident to a Culver City Teen Center employee, according to the Culver City Police Department.

The suspect was described as a white or Hispanic man possibly in his 30s, with a goatee. Police released surveillance images of the suspect vehicle.

Two similar incidents were reported on Monday and Tuesday.

Culver City Police received an anonymous report stating that a vehicle approached a female at Sepulveda Blvd. and Machado Rd. at about 3:15 p.m. Monday. The female fled before any contact was made.

On Tuesday, a 16-year-old girl walking home from school at about 7:15 p.m. was approached by a green four-door vehicle near Overland and Virgina Ave. The suspect, described as a white or Hispanic man with short brown hair and facial hair, told the girl, "Get in the car" two times and followed her. The girl ran back to school and reported the incident.

It was not clear if all the incidents were connected.
