Angelina Jolie sported a brighter look at a recent "Maleficent" event that pays homage to her character.
At a photo call for the Disney movie in London on Friday, May 9, the 38-year-old Oscar winner turned heads in a gorgeous, white, ruched, knee-lengthAtelier Versace dress decorated with images of ravens sitting on branches. She paired the look with matching, custom-made Christian Louboutin horn pumps.
The look marked a contrast from the black outfits Jolie has been wearing in recent weeks at other promotional events for the film, in which she plays the title horned villain, who sports wings. Also, a trailer shows what appears to be a raven morphing into a dragon. In Disney's 1959 animated film "Sleeping Beauty," which first featured Maleficent, the villain transforms into the fire-breathing monster and also keeps a raven as a pet -- and spy.
Co-star Elle Fanning, who plays the teen version of Princess Aurora, matched Jolie at the photo call -- she wore an ivory Ellery Fall 2014 crop top and high-waist, ruffled, asymmetrical, knee-length skirt.
Jolie has worn Atelier Versace dresses before, most recently at a private reception celebrating "Maleficent" earlier this week. She also wore gowns by the designer at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences' Governor Awards last year and at the 2012 Oscars, in which she famously showed off her trim leg through a thigh-high slit and sparked a slew of online memes.
