Rebel Wilson might have to get ready to gear up in a military uniform soon.
The 28-year-old "Pitch Perfect" actress will reportedly star in a remake of the classic 1980 Goldie Hawn comedy "Private Benjamin," according to Variety.
In the original film, Hawn played a woman who joins the U.S. Army after her new husband dies on their wedding night. The actress earned an Oscar nomination for her role in the original film, which grossed $70 million domestically at the box office.
Variety reports that in the new version, Wilson will portray a redneck who joins the Marines.
It was also announced on Friday, May 9, that Wilson's series "Super Fun Night" was not renewed for a second season.
"Found out my TV show 'Super Fun Night' got cancelled...am singing sad songs in my car right now...it's sad," Wilson tweeted on Friday.
She later added, "Alas! Thanks again to everyone who was involved with 'SFN' and everyone who watched!! Respect x"
The actress also tweeted about rehearsing for "Pitch Perfect 2" on earlier this month and wrote, "Week 2 of Pitch Perfect 2!! Mermaid dancing et. al. X."
It was announced back in February that Wilson and her fellow "Pitch Perfect" co-star Anna Kendrick would return for the film's sequel.
