The marijuana-growing operations were both located on the 800 block of South Washington Avenue.
The Sheriff's Narcotics Division Marijuana Enforcement Team and San Bernardino Police Department responded to the area around 1:30 p.m. Friday after fire crews spotted a large marijuana cultivation in the backyard of a residence.
During the later investigation, police discovered a second large scale cultivation operation at a residence across the street.
In one home, a total of 1,323 marijuana plants were seized, some of them 4 feet tall and most of them budding. Over 20 pounds of processed marijuana were also seized.
In the other home, 1,286 marijuana plants were found, along with a loaded 12gauge shotgun.
Synatra Tip, 68, Saoline Phoeuk, 63, Phua Ha, 34, Sue Song, Choua Yang, Samay Moun, 59, and Sveong Danh, 61, were arrested in connection. Police say five of the seven suspects also face charges for stealing electricity to run grow lights.
