The eighth celebrity contestant from season 18 of "Dancing With The Stars" went home on Monday, May 12, after nine weeks of performances. Spoiler alert!
During the semifinals, the celebrities performed Foxtrot, Rumba, Jazz and more dance styles for "American Icons Night" in front of director Kenny Ortega, who appeared on the show as a guest judge alongside usual show judges Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba. Charlie White and Sharna Burgess were eliminated. The two scored 40 out of 40 points for their Foxtrot and 36 out of 40 points for their Samba for a total of 76 out of 80 total points.
Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy were in jeopardy. The two scored 40 out of 40 points for their Jive and 40 out of 40 points for their Viennese Waltz for a total of 80 out of 80 total points.
Viewers of the episode also saw the third installment of "Macy's Stars of Dance" with creative oversight and choreography by pro dancer, Derek Hough and Christopher Scott from "So You Think You Can Dance."
The performance was a tribute to classic Hollywood and it featured Hough and Disney Channel's Jessica Lee Keller from "Teen Beach" as the leads. The piece also featured 26 additional dancers, including a variety of "Dancing With The Stars" pros.
