Yikes! "Game of Thrones," known for featuring an incestuous relationship, almost had life imitate art, according to British singer Lily Allen.

In a recent Reddit AMA chat with fans, the 29-year-old pop star said she was once asked if she would be interested in playing the role of Theon's sister on the hit HBO fantasy-adventure series. Theon, currently known in season 4 as Reek, is portrayed by Lily's real-life brother, Alfie Allen.

UPDATE at 2:10 p.m. PT: An HBO spokesperson told OTRC.com Lily was never offered a role on "Game of Thrones."

Spoiler alert for those catching up on the show: In episode 2 of season 2, which aired in 2012, Theon reunites with his sister after several years but does not recognize her at first. They ride a horse together and he gets rather physical with her. After she reveals her identity, he appears horrified.

During the AMA (warning: link contains expletives), a reader asked Lily, "How did you feel when you told Alfie to get a job and he immediately went and got a job on the coolest show on tv??" In 2007, Lily released a tribute single to her brother titled "Alfie," in which she sings about how he is wasting his life by sleeping in and smoking pot in his room (watch the music video here -- warning: Contains explicit language).

"Well, that was about a 5 year disparity between the two!" Lily answered. "But I've been asked to do a 'Game of Thrones' cameo, they asked me if I'd be interested in playing Theon's sister, and I felt uncomfortable because I would have had to go on a horse and he would have touched me up and [expletive]. Once they told me what was entailed, I said no thanks. I would be open to doing a musical cameo like Sigur Ros, though."

The part in question, Yara Greyjoy, went to actress Gemma Whelan. The character appears in several episodes, including the most recent one, which aired on Sunday. The R-rated "Game of Thrones," currently in the middle of its fourth season, is known for many shocking scenes and features an ongoing incestuous relationship between characters Cersei Lannister and her brother Jaime Lannister, who fathered her children.

Read a RECAP of the most recent episode, which featured an epic speech by their other brother, Tyrion Lannister, as well as an attempt by Yara to rescue her imprisoned brother.

Did you know? Lily, who is promoting her new album, "Sheezus," and Alfie, 27, are the children of actor Keith Allen, who played the Sheriff of Nottingham on the BBC series "Robin Hood" and also starred in "Trainspotting" and "The Others."
