Jennifer Lawrence, don't ever change.
The 23-year-old "Hunger Games" and "X-Men" actress showcased her trademark JLaw sense of humor and a slew of hilarious expressions on Thursday's episode of NBC's "The Tonight Show," which saw her and host Jimmy Fallon play off of each other masterfully and face off in a battle of wits that paid tribute to '80s pop culture.
Lawrence, wearing a gorgeous, backless halter dress, and the host played "Box of Lies," in which players sit across from each other, separated by a barrier. One chooses a box and gets to see its contents, which are hidden from the other person. The player tells their opponent what is inside, opting to either reveal the truth or make something up. Lawrence was presented with a plate of yellow Jell-O containing a solved Rubik's Cube, a popular '80s puzzle toy (a possible throwback to the pilot of NBC's "The Office").
With a mischievous smile and glint in her eye, Lawrence nonchalantly revealed to Fallon, 39, the actual object placed in front of her, spurring a staring contest. The host could barely keep a straight face.
Fallon's object was a box containing a "Rockin' Jesse" singing action figure made in the likeness of Jesse Katsopolis, John Stamos' popular character from the hit sitcom "Full House," which debuted in 1987 -- three years before Lawrence was born. (NOTE: You can buy the "Rockin' Jesse" action figure on eBay!) The host told Lawrence that the doll was one of the Backstreet Boys and was packaged with Hershey's Kisses.
"I feel like if it's not the truth, you're a sociopath," the actress joked.
