Chris Brown is out of jail and ready to get back to the music.
The 25-year-old singer was released from a Los Angeles County jail on Monday, June 2, just after midnight, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Brown had been in jail since March after being expelled from a court-ordered rehab facility.
In early May, the singer was sentenced to one year in jail for violating his probation, which stemmed from his 2009 attack on Rihanna, after getting into an altercation in Washington, D.C.
Brown was given credit for 234 days of time served and was set to serve up to 131 days behind bars. However, he was expected to get out much sooner, according to the Associated Press.
After his release, the singer began tweeting messages to his fans.
"Humbled and Blessed," he wrote at 2:13 a.m.
He later tweeted at 4:22 a.m., "Back to the Music and the Fans."
"Thank you GOD," his most recent tweet said.
Brown will still have to complete the remainder of a previous sentence of 1,000 hours of community labor once he is released from jail and he is to remain on probation until Jan. 23, 2015.
